Celebrating Black Creativity with Pinterest
We're proud to be part of Pinterest's iconic Black to Z campaign - a definitive showcase of influences and ideas that kickstart creativity. Curated by creative director Irene Agbontaen, Founder of TTYA London and TTYA Talks, it celebrates the creative inspiration of 26 game-changing Black businesses and creators, one for each letter of the alphabet.
What inspires our creativity?
Our letter is F for Fingerprint
The Sheer Chemistry logo symbolises two things: the curves of our fingerprint, which represents our identity, where we're from, our uniqueness; and the female form and its femininity. My fingerprint tells a story of my Jamaican heritage that brought me to my birthplace of Sydney, Australia and on to live in London, New York and Brazil that have shaped the way I see the world. Of the ancestors who have come before me to pave the way for my creative freedom and my family who encourage me to embrace my individuality. It's the blueprint for my beautiful brown skin.
