No matter the city, when the sun comes out your mood lifts and that vitamin D hits you right. But what if the sun is a no-show? Or to rephrase, what if you live in the UK? *rolls eyes* Well, we’ve gotten creative about how to achieve the perfect summer glow, and you can get it too.
There’s more than one way to get your summer glow.
We spend three-quarters of the year in anticipation of the picnics, beach days and getaways that will fill our summer holiday, only to remain at the mercy of what the clouds in the sky are feeling that day. Whilst we can’t control the weather, we have found our own way to getting that gorgeous summer glow - even if the sun didn’t quite get the memo. All it takes are 4 easy steps to take you from grey and overcast, to making the sun jealous of your shine!

Your 4 steps to glowing legs...
Step 1: Exfoliate
Once or twice a week, gentle exfoliation will remove dead skin cells and dirt to reveal brighter skin. Remember elbow-grease is not needed here as excessively scrubbing can cause more redness and rashes - let your exfoliant do the work. You don’t need to splash out on any new products for this either, just a handful of coffee granules with a few drops of water is enough to get you one step closer to gorgeously smooth legs.
Our Tip: The best time to do this is in the morning as you will have loosened dead skin cells overnight.
Step 2: Moisturise
Hydrating your skin is key for glowing legs, that’s why we moisturise daily, and especially after exfoliating days. Use your chosen moisturiser to give your skin some love, and even a mini-massage while you’re at it too! If you’re after added hydration, try leaving skin damp after showering then applying an oil directly on skin to lock in the moisture.
Our Tip: Mix coconut oil with coffee granules to create a hydrating exfoliant.
Step 3: Sun Protection
If you’re only going to put one thing on your skin, make it this! We love soaking up the sun and getting some much needed vitamin D, but what we love more is healthy skin. The last step in your skincare routine should always be an SPF to help protect your skin from sun damage.
Our Tip: Most brands are putting SPF in their daily moisturisers, so if you’re rushing to get out the door, you can easily find an all-in-one option.
